River Garden Events

Our aspirations for River Garden Events have been realised with the first of our ticketed events taking place in September and October in our beautiful Bothy Café.

Our event on 29th September witnessed the first public showing of the film MIRACULOUS, based on the bestselling novel The Rise and Fall of The Miraculous Vespas, by Ayrshire writer David F. Ross.

This was followed by a Q&A with David F. Ross, director Stuart Hepburn, and two of the stars of the film: Colin McCredie and Tam Dean Burn (you may know them from Taggart and River City).

Chartbusting Scottish legends THE BLUEBELLS finished the evening off in fine style with an acoustic performance by introducing new songs and old.

On 24th and 25th October, we were delighted to welcome Constant Follower; a Scottish band whose debut album was nominated for a Best Acoustic Album at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards in 2021. They have been fairly accurately described as playing dreamy atmospheric folk music.

The support act was a wonderful solo artist from Berlin, Andy Aquarius, who played his harp and helped to set the scene for a truly ethereal evening.

In addition to the ticketed events, we have a full timetable to look forward to in the coming months across a wide range of activities and interests to appeal to all. There’s more music, guest appearances, key family dates and activities in the pipeline so watch this space.

RGA is a wonderful venue to host a wide range of private parties, weddings and corporate events. The tranquillity and beauty of RGA can only add to the overall sense of occasion at such gatherings.
