Independence from Drugs and Alcohol Scotland (IFDAS)
We are River Garden, a training and social enterprise recovery centre located in Auchincruive, just outside the coastal town of Ayr. Our mission is to provide a safe, engaging, challenging, and recovery focussed environment supporting people on their journey from addiction. To do this, we need your support from small donations that really do make a difference, to much larger financial support that allows us to restore the greenhouses and Victorian gardens, create safe housing and support for people moving on, and create new enterprises and job opportunities for people at River Garden.

£10 Buy a Day of Connection
Covers the cost of one resident's communal dining and socialising for a day. Communal life is essential to the recovery model, replacing isolation with mutual support.
£40 Fund a Session of Healing
Provides one resident with a professional psychotherapeutic session or critical group reflection time, helping them confront trauma in a safe, structured environment.
£70 Support a Week of Skill
Funds a resident's vocational training materials in one of our social enterprises (woodcraft, horticulture, or hospitality), helping them gain qualifications, competence and the tools to take with them into mainstream employment.
£100 Invest in a Future Builder
Contributes toward the cost of specialist equipment or protective gear for the Wood Workshop, Beekeeping, Fishing, Digital Inclusion, Arboriculture, allowing another resident to learn a lifelong skill and rebuild their self-worth.

Gift Aid
What is Gift Aid? Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at no additional cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer, the charity can reclaim this money from the tax you’ve already paid. All you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration and ensure you’ve paid enough Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount claimed.
