Our Activity Programme

Reclaiming Joy and Connection

Recovery is about learning to enjoy life again. Our social and activities programme is designed to restore fun and fellowship, with every activity focusing on genuine human connection and shared enjoyment. The menu is diverse and continually shaped by resident input, helping you discover new ways to thrive without substances.

Core Activity Pillars

  • Creative Expression: We champion activities like flower arranging, art, music, and crafts. These sessions provide a vital therapeutic outlet for emotional processing and self-discovery without the need for words.
  • Physical & Mental Health: We prioritise building routine, energy, and positive self-esteem through our gym, fitness, sports, games, guided walks, and structured movement. This connects the body and mind, enhancing resilience.
  • Social Confidence and Cultural Engagement: We work to rebuild essential social skills through relaxed evenings like movie nights and dancing, alongside International Food Nights, where residents learn to prepare and create new culinary dishes.
  • Adventure and Resilience: For those seeking a challenge, we facilitate activities like cold water dipping off the coast of Ayr. This structured activity is designed to build psychological resilience and tolerance for discomfort, offering a genuinely unbeatable post-dip feeling.
  • Relaxation: We have fishing permits on the River Ayr and can access many of the fishing sites across South Ayrshire. We organise music events, movie nights, games and have created mindful spaces across the Gardens

We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, try a new hobby, and experience the power of shared laughter - key elements for establishing a sustainable, fulfilling life in recovery.
