Sean - Recovery Worker
Staff Spotlight: Sean Connolly
My Journey to the Team
I began my journey in support work over a year ago and quickly realised how much I enjoyed the field. While I considered applying during the last recruitment drive, the timing didn't feel quite right—I wanted to wait until I could give it my all. Now, I am incredibly excited to be here. There is a unique energy about this place that is truly infectious, and I’m looking forward to the new year as everything begins to take shape.
Health & Wellbeing
Staying active is a huge part of my life. Whether I’m walking, fishing, or hawking, being outdoors keeps me fit and grounded. I’m a big believer in the "simple" essentials for a good life: plenty of exercise and a healthy diet.
Ayrshire Inspirations
- The Best of Ayrshire: My favorite spot has to be Auchincruive. With the river and the woodlands, it is a truly magical place to escape into nature.
- A Perfect Tour: If I were showing a visitor around, I’d take them straight to River Garden. It is such a wonderful environment for recovery, backed by a caring and professional team dedicated to helping people on their journey.
A Few of My Favourite Things
- Film & TV: I’m a big fan of Tom Hanks and have a particular interest in World War II movies.
- Animals: I have a soft spot for Greyhounds.
- Social Perspective: I feel strongly about the impact of advertising in our country, particularly the over-saturation of alcohol and gambling ads, and I advocate for tighter restrictions to protect the community.
Just for Laughs
