Victoria - Recovery Worker

Staff Spotlight: Victoria Nedley

"Creating space for connection and magic."

For Victoria the transition from working in high-tolerance homelessness units to the recovery-focused environment of River Garden was a natural evolution. She saw firsthand how people learn to survive through unhealthy mechanisms and realised that true healing requires a place to pause.

"Many of us aren't taught the skills we need to handle loss or build a sense of self until things become unmanageable," she explains. "River Garden is that breathing space where things finally become clearer."

Victoria was recently described as one of the famous trio of "Powerpuff Girls"—a testament to her boundless energy, commitment, and determination.

Her background is as vibrant as her personality; she previously ran her own florist business and spent years beekeeping in the United States. This deep connection to nature informs her work today, as she regularly hits the hiking trails to recharge. While she is fully integrated into her community, her American accent remains—most notably in her ongoing, playful battle with the pronunciation of "herbs."
